Since July 1st, 2025, Sunlife officially assumed management of these two jewels of Mauritian tourism, in partnership with Alteo. This strategic alliance is part of an approach aimed at strengthening Mauritius's position as a reference destination in the Indian Ocean, particularly in the luxury tourism and golf segment.
A strategic partnership at the heart of the Indian Ocean
"We are proud to welcome Anahita into the Sunlife portfolio. This marks a key milestone in our growth strategy and reflects our ambition to offer travellers and residents greater choice in how they experience Mauritius," declared François Eynaud, CEO of Sunlife. The executive emphasized the group's mission: "To radiate the magic of Mauritius through thoughtful service, authentic moments, and innovative hospitality."
This operation demonstrates the vitality of the Mauritian tourism sector, which continues to attract investment despite global economic challenges. Anahita Golf & Spa Resort has established itself over the years as one of Mauritius's most sought-after integrated hospitality destinations, combining residential accommodation, resort facilities, and golf experiences in an exceptional setting.
A complete offering in service of excellence
Under the direction of General Manager Christophe Ramdiane, the resort offers a complete range of luxury suites and villas, accompanied by leisure and wellness facilities including a marina, spa, nature trails, water sports, and direct access to Île aux Cerfs Leisure Island & Golf Club.
The golf component, managed by Tristan Freslon, features an 18-hole championship course designed by Ernie Els. This course, which offers panoramic views of the lagoon and coastline, also includes a golf academy, practice facilities, and dual access to Île aux Cerfs Golf Club.
This acquisition harmoniously complements Sunlife's existing portfolio, which already includes Sugar Beach, La Pirogue, Long Beach, Ambre, and Île aux Cerfs. The integration of Anahita creates significant synergies with key regional stakeholders, offering clients a lifestyle and sports destination that redefines market standards.
Investment and sustainable development on the horizon
Alteo and Sunlife are working together to ensure a smooth transition for teams, homeowners, guests, and partners. A five-year development roadmap is being finalized, providing for investments aimed at modernizing infrastructure and improving facilities.
These planned investments aim to further strengthen Anahita's position as a world-class destination. Both groups reaffirm their commitment to supporting sustainable development in eastern Mauritius, preserving Anahita's unique identity, and contributing to a resilient and diversified Mauritian economy.
This operation perfectly illustrates the consolidation dynamic of the Mauritian hotel sector, where local groups are strengthening their positions against international competition, while preserving the authenticity and excellence that make Mauritius's reputation on the global tourism scene.
